Going into Spring with a Sunny Smile

Slowly but surely it will be summer, and boy am I excited! Lately here in Vancouver it has been nothing but sun which is so pleasant. During sunny days and cold winds, I am not fooled and I dress warm. The past few weeks have been a little hectic with school and work, but midterms just finished and now I’m catching up on some other things this week! I have been working on a project and I am so excited to share it with you! Here are is a glimpse of what I’m doing. I have been testing out some products from Lush and have put together some videos and photos.  I want to share my experience with these products and talk about some pros and cons.  Since winter is over and spring is approaching, the stores are turning over their stock. Winter items goes on sale and spring items come in. Pretty much a lose-lose situations for me, I want it all!

Lately I have been doing so much spending I have accepted a challenge from my friend, Jayce from @GingersOnly. The challenge is: 40 consecutive days of not buying non-essential items. So far it has been 5 days and I gotta say, it’s a good start. Obviously 5 days is not a long time, but we all know a little bit spent here and a little bit spent there adds up. I look forward to complete this challenge with my March visa bill drastically lower then my previous months. I challenge all of you shopaholics out there to do the 40 day challenge and put your visaaa away!

Comment below if you accept this challenge and let me know your progress.

Other than that, I must talk about this lip stick I’m wearing! I recently fell in love with Stila Stay All Day® Liquid lipstick and it didn't take long for me to purchase all of their colors. Stila carries 10 different colors of this product and they are all SO beautiful! I found that with this product a little goes a long way and it doesn't move! The lipsticks always puts a smile on my face, no mater the weather.

Story goes, I first bought Patina and put it on, love the color! I went about my day doing chores, running around here and there and when I went to the bathroom to touch up… yeah, it was not needed! I was so shocked, seriously I was like what the heck, this is amazing.

These colors are so pigmented and vibrant this will be one of my favorite products for a long time. The only thing I do warn you is the lid part gets a little messy so I just try to clean it every once in a while.

To wrap things up, what do you look forward to this spring and what’s your favorite lipstick brand?

Whistler Get-Away

I was very lucky to be spending my birthday weekend away in Whistler. Being my second time going there, I was super excited! I was preparing myself for a 3 hour trip (thinking it took that long). It was totally not the case when we arrived after a hour and a half drive, yay! When we arrived at the Westin Hotel I couldn't get over how amazing the lobby smelt: like a fresh forest with tall trees and a river full of salmon!

When we arrived to our fabulous room I quickly got changed into my birthday apparel for dinner. My boyfriend surprised me by taking me to the Barefoot Bistro in the village and booyy was it good! I unfortunately couldn't take any photos of my food because well, it was pretty high end and I would be getting a lot of glares from people. Across the room from me I noticed Canucks hockey player #22, can you guess? Daniel Sedin.. Or maybe his brother? I'm not sure quite sure which one is who. After dinner I did some walking around the village to witness some of the crazy things teens are doing these days. It honestly wasn't too long before we decided to call it a night.

After my beauty sleep Saturday I had the whole day to myself to relax and enjoy what Whistler had to offer. Unfortunately the weather was seriously poopy so I decided not to go snowboarding, which I initially intended to. I didn't realize how small the village was! As I wondered around the village, across the rice rink was a cute coffee/bake shop packed with people, I wanted to go there! Of course my boyfriend and I did. I ordered the carrot cake and cranberry bliss bar to go with my hot chocolate. Both were a good decision, I wanted more!

Saturday ended with going to the movies to see American Sniper which I really enjoyed. Before that I engulfed some chicken wings and caesar salad at the Crystal Lounge. Can't go wrong with $.25 wings! After a long day of roaming around and taking it easy, Sunday couldn't of come any faster.
Sunday was what I was really looking forward to before leaving back home from whistler. For my birthday I received credit to the Scandinave Spa. It was such a wonderful experience! After the massage, I had full access to the baths, relaxing room, and the sauna! This is definitely a must try experience.
Well that went by fast. Birthday week is over and I'm another year older! Until next year.

Celebrating the big 20: Intro

Peace out 2014, hello 2015! When the countdown begins at the start of the new year, I know that its time to start thinking about my goals. That being said, I also have my birthday coming up 22 days later. This year is the year to say buh bye to my teenage years and hello to the *enty* zone as I call it. This year I am celebrating the big 20.

One of my biggest goals I set for myself is to start a blog along with a YouTube channel. I have always had a creative mind and thought it was time to put it to use. I also wanted to strengthen my writing skills as I very much know they are lacking. (Bear with me). I would catch myself using words that don't exist, or substituting English words for Czech hoping your understand what I'm saying. Another thing I want to focus on is to not stress as much and not to take things seriously. I find myself always overachieving unnecessary tasks and stressing about things that don't matter. Yeah no more of that. Obviously there will be stressful times during this year but I plan to handle them differently. More breathing less panicking. I find that taking 10 minutes out of the day to stretch in quiet really clears my mind!

Other then that, those would be my goals for 2015: blog, youtube, and not to take things seriously.

I wouldn't say that my strengths are in just one subject but overall little bit good at everything. I have many hobbies that I strive doing.

Baking for instance is something I could spend all day doing. I love the fact that putting together different ingredients would result in something delicious. In high school I would always sign up for anything to do with cooking or baking. At the time it was specifically because I just wanted to eat the food, but now I usually bake for others to enjoy. Its gotten to the point where my beautiful co-workers are excited to see what i'm bringing in next.

Make up, and hair has been something I've been interested in ever since I was 7. Being a dancer, due to competition and shows, I was expected to have these things done. In result, I would be getting a lot of practice with doing different things with make up and hair that I eventually got pretty good at it. ( I think? I wouldn't say that I'm baad at it) This year I want to play with color and step out of my comfort zone. I usually stick to my nudes, and smokey eyes but not anymore! I recently orders some new products from some of my favorite brands that I will be sharing with you later on.

Ooo fashion. Well, fashion is a must know. Simple rules to my wardrobe never wear colors that clash red and pink. no. I'm sure many people do and that's awesome if you can pull it off but me, never. Back in my highschool days, I did a lot of investigating in my sense of style to find out what really worked for me. Grade 8: preppy, grade 9: neon, grade 10: hobo/bohemian, grade 11: professional, grade 12: HEELS BABY. Now I got to wear it all and every year I did something different. Couple years have gone by since then, and I have settled into a "modern" style I would call it. I purchase most of my clothes from Aritzia, LOFT, PLENTY, you get it. My wardrobe palette consists of blacks, grey, white, brown... yeah thats it. I obviously have colors too but I usually play with neutral colors.

I have been grateful in life to travel frequently during the year. I must say I've only traveled within North America and Europe, but one day I do wish to go further. Traveling with plane hasn't been my favorite way of transport. At a early age I discovered I get really sick, and I mean really sick when I fly. I'm not scared of heights or anything, its all in my head. Psychology. When I travel, I do prefer a hot, or warm destination because I do not like cold. Doesn't really need much explanation.

Overall, I have entered the blogging world to share with you guys mah life with you! As I mentioned I love baking, beauty, fashion and travel so be expecting to see lots of blog posts related to those categories!
